Discover MoreHarnessing cutting-edge technologies and fostering innovative approaches are imperative for addressing climate challenges in agriculture. Advanced technological integration, encompassing multiomics, bioinformatics, spectral data, sensor-based data, artificial intelligence and robotics are increasingly being employed in crop improvement and management. Collaborations among academia, industry, and farmers play a pivotal role in driving innovation, transforming research into practical solutions. These partnerships bridge expertise gaps, contributing to economic growth and improving farmers’ social conditions. With the expansion of agricultural land unfeasible, the focus shifts to maximizing productivity through intelligent practices. In line with this perspective, postgraduate students of College of Agriculture, Vellayani, with collaborative support from CORTEVA Agri Science, are organizing this International Plant Science Symposium titled “Advanced Technologies and Innovative Practices for Climate-Smart Agriculture: Bridging Academia, Industry and Society.”
This two-day symposium aims to bring together experts from academia and industry working in this emerging area to interact with post graduate students of various academic institutions and farmers/stakeholders to discuss about the possible holistic technological integration for climate smart sustainable agriculture. It will facilitate the partnership between industry and academia, fostering the development of technologies essential for climate resilient agriculture. It aims to boost the start-up and entrepreneur ecosystem to develop technological solutions for cost-effective sustainable farming.
